Valentine’s Day Treats

February 10, 2011 by Megan 2 Comments

Here is a compilation of heart-shaped foods to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year.

I don’t think I’m going to have time this year to bake any fancy treats for Valentine’s Day this weekend, because I’ll be on a romantic getaway with my husband instead! The only thing I’ve made so far has been a nutella and raspberry jam sandwich for the Bennett’s dessert tonight. It was quick and easy, and fun to eat…or at least fun to pull apart.
To give you a few more ideas for Valentine’s Day, I’ve pulled together some previous recipes. I sure do like my heart-shaped cookie cutters, can you tell?:
Valentine’s Cookies
Jello Hearts
Fruit-Filled Cereal Bars (or Hearts!)
Edible Peanut Butter Playdough

Baked Chicken Nuggets with Quinoa

Quinoa Coconut Granola Bites
Heart-Shaped Polenta and Chickpea Vegetable Sauce

Cookie Dough Truffles
I know these aren’t heart-shaped but they make a perfect chocolatey treat for your sweetheart!

Some great looking Valentine treats, I think the jello hearts are my favorite though.
