Inspire Clean Eating with Epicure – Fall Giveaway

September 22, 2015 by Megan 104 Comments

Inspire Clean Eatin with Epicure - Fall Giveaway!

I have big news! The new 2015 Fall & Winter Catalogue from Epicure is here, and guess what? I’m in it! I shared my testimonial of their Good Food. Real Fast. Collection, and their elegant finishing sauces.

I especially love the Paris Bistro sauce. I put it on practically everything! One of my favourite ways to use it is on spaghetti squash, cooked in my Epicure Steamer. After it’s cooked, I drizzle on the sauce and sprinkle with a little parmesan cheese. And you have to try it on pizza! My kids say it makes it taste just like at a restaurant.

Epicure Paris Bistro sauce, on spaghetti squash, or pizza.

I can have a margherita pizza ready in no time, just by spreading some marinara sauce over flatbread, sprinkling with a basil leaves and mozzarella cheese , and then finishing it off with a drizzle of Paris Bistro sauce. Bake it on an Epicure crisper and serve with a green salad for a really fast dinner.

That’s what I love about Epicure – their products help me get wholesome meals ready quickly. And you don’t have to be a whiz on the kitchen, either. You may think because I’m a food blogger that I can whip up gourmet meals for my family every night without breaking a sweat, but I’m really just a busy parent, like many of you, trying to keep my family fed amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Honestly, it’s exhausting! It’s tough coming up with ideas every day that are not only quick (because time is in short supply these days), but also healthy, AND appealing to all members of the family. Some days I’m lucky if our meals meet only two of these qualifications. Epicure has saved me so many times when meal-time rolls around and I’m scrambling to find something to cook. Their products inspire me to create delicious meals that are simple, easy, and on the table in less than 20 minutes.

I was really excited to try some of the new products from this latest catalogue. Epicure sent me Chia Jam, Coconut Curry Oven Fries, Carrot Cake Dip, Creamy Dill Popcorn Seasoning, and a Multipurpose Steamer. They were all amazing!

I’ve already used the chia jam in a couple of recipes I posted recently: Peanut Butter, Jelly and Banana Overnight Oats and Yogurt Parfait Breakfast Popsicles. I’d heard of chia jam before, but I didn’t realize how easy it would be to prepare a refrigerator jam that’s low in sugar and high in nutrients with this great mix.

IMG_7234

And the coconut curry oven fries seasoning? Incredible! I was worried it might be too spicy for the kids, but it was surprisingly mild, yet still full of flavor. The kids loved the fries, so I tried it again with roasted chickpeas for an after-school snack on day, and they gobbled them up.

Coconut Curry Roasted Chickpeas

Speaking of after-school snacks, popcorn is one of the boys’ favourite things to snack on when they come home from school. I tried the Creamy Dill Popcorn Seasoning, and it’s now become an essential part of our popcorn experience. Bennett had a movie night for his birthday party and I served Creamy Dill Popcorn. Well, I didn’t even get any of it because the kids all ate it up too quickly.

The carrot cake dip was also great at birthday parties. We had a family get-together for the boys birthdays this month, and I mixed the dip with coconut cream because my niece is vegan. It turned out really well! I’ve also combined it with Greek yogurt and a spoonful of cream cheese for dipping apples. It tastes like a decadent treat, but it’s still good for you.

GIVEAWAY

Now that I’ve left you drooling, you’ll be happy to know that Epicure is giving away a selection of new products from the Fall & Winter catalogue, plus my personal favourites — a Good Food. Real Fast. Meal kit and Paris Bistro sauce.

This contest is open to Canadian residents only and will close on October 7th 2015. Please enter using the form below. Good luck!

    Reply
    • Megan says

      September 24, 2015 at 10:19 am

Hi Joyce. Yes, it gives you instructions on the bottles. The Bistro sauce is mixed with water and oil. The carrot cake dip is mixed with yogurt. Others like popcorn and fries seasonings you just sprinkle directly onto the food.
